6th Grade

Ms. Teresa McBarron has been at Sacred Heart since 2004, and has been the sixth grade teacher since 2005. She will continue teaching the eighth graders in religion and prepare them for the sacrament of Confirmation.

After receiving her B.A. in English and Journalism at Loyola College in Baltimore, Ms. McBarron began teaching and coaching in Anne Arundel County, Maryland while pursuing a Masters in Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins University. She substitute taught at the high school level for three years while fulfilling duties as the head girl's basketball coach and assistant for track and cross country. Her career was temporarily put on hold to start a family.

Ms. McBarron reentered the teaching profession as the first grade aide at Sacred Heart in 2004. She assisted the first grade teacher for two years while working on a Masters Degree in Teaching and Special Education at Saint Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, New York. She successfully completed her Masters in the summer of 2007.
