Pastor

Father Jack Arlotta has been the Pastor of Sacred Heart parish since 2002. He received his Bachelor's in Education and a Master's in Special Education from Manhattan College in the Bronx. He also holds a Certificate in School Supervision from Pace University.

Father taught for five years in the Catholic school system in the Archdiocese at St. Anthony of Padua and Sts. Peter and Paul School, both in the South Bronx. He later worked with severely disabled and mentally challenged children in a private organization with centers in the Bronx and Westchester. He also taught in the New York City Board of Education as a special education teacher in a Junior High School Program in district 9 in the South Brox.

Father entered St. Joseph's Seminary in 1987 to study for the priesthood in the Archdiocese of New York. He completed his studies in 1992, earning a Master of Divinity and a Masters in Theology with a concentration in Church History. He was ordained in May 1992.

Father Arlotta's first assignment was Holy Rosary Church in the Eastchester section of the Bronx. He was the Director of Religious Education. He also served at Resurrection Church in Rye, NY. There, he was in charge of all education programs.
